COVID-19 (JAN 2021) RULES FOR LEVAS WATERS

Friday, 08 January 2021 13:10

Fishing may commence on LEVAS waters with the following restrictions:

LONG EATON VICTORIA ANGLING SOCIETY

Revised rules for fishing  during National Lockdown January 2021

Members are advised that, despite the severity of this new lockdown, Angling Trust has been able to convince the Government that fishing should be classed as exercise and so allowed to continue.  However, this massively depends on anglers behaving properly within the rules including staying local, gathering limits, social distancing and time spent outdoors.

  1. The new government rules (issued 7th January 2021) allow anglers to fish locally ONLY.

THEREFORE, A MEMBER MUST LIVE WITHIN 5 MILES OF SOCIETY FISHERY IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO FISH THERE AT THIS TIME.

  1. Members MUST be in possession of the current 2020/21 Membership Book and a current Environment Agency Rod Licence. (see website/Facebook for information)
  2. Please be aware of all Society Rules
  3. ONLY ONE ANGLER PER PEG UNLESS EACH IS A MEMBER OF THE SAME SUPPORT BUBBLE

However, if an adult member brings a child member, they may share the same peg (be mindful of safety at all times)

PLEASE NOTE SOCIETY RULE 7. – Junior members under the age of 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult member at all times.

  1. Members MUST NOT move between pegs
  2. REMEMBER: SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES.
  3. Members are asked to limit their use of mobile phones.
  4. PLEASE NOTE: NIGHT FISHING IS NOT PERMITTED AT THIS TIME
  5. A member is responsible for clearing litter at their peg whether it is theirs or has been left by someone else. Any member found to have litter at their peg will face disciplinary action
  • There is a team of bailiffs on all Society fisheries These dedicated volunteers are there to ensure everyone is safe and enjoys their experience.  PLEASE RESPECT THE BAILIFFS

Any member contravening these rules may be asked to leave the fishery and /or face disciplinary action.
