Members should note that work has commenced on the erection of a new "otter fence" around Grange Pond, which I understand will include an improved walkway path around the lake.  As the contractor will be using plant to undertake the work, the Committee decided that for the safety of all involved the water will be closed for the period that the work in being undertaken. Work commences today (13th September) and could take up to two weeks to compete.  There is a LEVAS Championship match scheduled on Grange on Sunday 26 September.  This currently remains on the fixture list and as long as the work is completed and the banks are clear should go ahead, although a final decision will be made on Friday 24 September regarding this.
