NEW TRENT PEGS AT LONG EATON

Tuesday, 07 May 2019 19:26

The construction of five new "pegs" on the marsh on the River Trent below Cranfleet Lock has now been completed and will hopefully bed in nicely before the river season opens on 16th June.

The "pegs" have been constructed by setting large stone slabs into the river bank in a series of steps, thus enabling anglers to reach the water's edge safely.

The project has been enabled through a £5,000 grant made by the NRA from licence monies administered by the AT, with match funding from LEVAS.  Many thanks to our Secretary, Dave Kent, for seeing the project through on our behalf.
