The rod and line shown in the photo was pulled from Grange Pond by a match competitor. It is suspected that the line exceeds the maximum allowed, and also if the rod was pulled into the lake it is likely that the angler was not in control of his or her tackle.

Under the terms of every angler's licence, you must be no more than three metres from your rod(s) at any time.  At Grange, due to the number of rods pulled in, all anglers should seriously consider positioning themselves within reach of their rod at all times.  Bailiffs are requested to keep a close eye on this.
