GRANGE POND IS FLOODED AGAIN AND CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

I am sorry to inform members that the recent heavy rain and melting snow has again caused Grange Pond to flood.

Paul Wheeldon, or Head Bailiff at Grange, has just reported that the water level is right up to the main gate, and that the car park and trackway to the Pond are under water.

As there are flood warnings out relating to that area (I understand that the adjacent Riding School Stables are already flooded) there will be no improvement for inn the near future, and we may have to suffer another long term closure.

I will ensure that I will let everyone know as soon as fishing becomes a possibility.

MATCH UPDATE:  The Fur & Feather match scheduled for last Sunday was postponed until the New Year (date and venue awaited), but the match scheduled for this Sunday (10th December) on the Friezland Pool at Friezland Fishery (Bosworth Park, Market Bosworth CV13 6PD) will go ahead as planned (horrendous weather permitting).
