REPORT
Championship match 14, also for the Alan Fletcher Memorial Trophy, was fished at Jansons’ Fishery on the Match Pool and averaged over one hundred and fifty pounds per angler.
Top weight, a fantastic 261-00 of carp, was taken by Malc Munn from peg 8, who fished with pellet bait, with Rob Pembridge (peg 2) also exceeding the “double-ton” with 223-05 in second place.
Third placed Paul Richardson just missed the 200 mark by a whisker on peg 14 with his 199-04, the next three also recording memorable weights, Steve Hoult (peg 30) with 187-07, Mick Lager (peg 5) with 175-10, and Les Smedley (peg 20) on 163-07.
In the race for the Championships, Steve Hoult retains a comfortable lead with 220 points, Rob Pembridge, who is now on 184 points has gained a place as has Les Smedley who now has 179 points.
John Adamson (175 points) who missed the match drops to fourth place, followed by Paul Marriott (168), Paul Richardson (150), Malc Munn (143), Dave Kent (140), Ivan Carrier (139 and Dave Cotterill (136) filling the top 10 places.
Match 15 is at Rycroft on Moat Lake on Sunday 13 October followed by Match 16 the following week (20 October) on Penninsular Lake at Blake Hall. Remember to book in if you wish to fish with Dave Kent.
