LEVAS's long serving General Secretary, Match Secretary and Treasurer, David Kent, has been awarded the British Empire Medal in recognition of his work for the sport of angling.

This was announced today as part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.

As well as serving LEVAS, David has worked at National Level with the Angling Trust, before that with the National Federation of Anglers, and also with the Canals and Rivers Trust.

Dave has also held (and holds) several positions of authority with a wide range of other Regional and local angling bodies, and well deserves the honour.
